On this years World Down Syndrome Day, we are proud to collaborate and support fellow GIAD™ designerds, the Kawakami family on their new childrens' book, “I Have Something Extra” [Discovering the joy of having an infant with Down syndrome.] The Kawakami's made this book dedicated to their baby girl, Margo, when they found it difficult to find kids book materials that talk about Down syndrome in a positive light.
Book summary: As a parent, receiving the diagnosis of Down syndrome for your child can certainly be scary. There are so many unknowns and questions with so few answers readily available. Discover the joy and uniqueness of Down syndrome in the early stages of infancy by reading "I Have Something Extra."
